A Message from our Chair.........
I am delighted to welcome one and all to our website and hope that it will keep all of our many friends and followers well informed about the events and activities being undertaken by The Cabaret Club.
The club was formed in the autumn of 1985 by a small group of local people who wanted to liven up the winter months. Now it is very well established, financially self supporting and aims to give a proportion of its income to charity. This year we are pleased to announce that our chosen charity is “The Cornwall Music Therapy Trust." The Trust provide much needed therapeutic care, using the medium of music, for children and adults throughout Cornwall. We hope that you will be able to help us to support them.
We have a reputation for being warm, friendly and welcoming and have been providing “Cabaret style” entertainment to the local community for more than 25 years. Our members come from all walks of life and are a brilliant mix of young and old, both cast and crew. There are numerous opportunities to get involved and we will always encourage new members so if you would like to join us, no matter how small the role, please don’t be shy we are a very friendly bunch.
We are currently in rehearsals for this year’s show “On The Wild Side” which runs from Saturday 16th March to Saturday 23rd March 2012 inclusive. I am sure that it will once again provide a wonderful evening full of entertainment and prove that live amateur theatre is well and thriving in our part of sunny Cornwall.
