Okay! We're just over a month from the start of the show -- in just two weeks' time, we take over the hall for our block booking, ready to start getting the stage and scenery in place. How exciting (how terrifying!) is that? Time to get really serious, if you weren't already. Please start considering your roles very carefully: is there any section that needs extra practice? How's your choreography coming on? Have you fully learned all your lyrics -- if not, getting working! You've been asked for certain items of costume -- please make sure they are in by THIS WEEKEND LATEST! Please start thinking about all those little extra bits you add to your own costumes to finish them off. If you want any help from a choreographer or musical director -- now's the time to shout! Please think about "buddy-ing up" to learn choreography -- when you're not on stage, you need to be working in one of the back rooms -- no time for hanging around the kitchen or the costume tables. Tickets are selling well -- so if you want any more, get your orders in now. Get your name down for the carvery too. Let me know if you need any help
One month gone! We started rehearsals on 2nd January, and one month later, we have accomplished an amazing amount of work! Already we have started the majority of our music, and hopefully we'll have plenty of time this year to finish and fine-tune our performances. Well done to everybody. Can I also say thank you to everyone who is making such a big effort to attend every rehearsal and to be on-time. An excellent record to date! This Friday we'll be re-capping numbers we've done to date, and getting ready with some new stuff to begin run-throughs (even of small sections) on Sunday. Please, use your practice CDs and learn your words! Thanks guys, great work so far! Love Sue xx |
